Peter Anderson operates Verna Press out of his home studio in New Orleans, LA.
He is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a graduate of the University of New Mexico.
He is a poet and a letterpress printer. In 2006 he served as an apprentice at Red Dragonfly
Press under the poet and printer Scott King. Since his apprenticeship he has published
numerous chapbooks and broadsides for a wide variety of poets. His most recent publications
are Dorado, a letterpress literary magazine of poetry and poetry in translation, and
Unsolicited Poems by David Rowe, the first full length trade paper edition issued by Verna Press.
Forthcoming letterpress books include a selection of poems by Catullus translated by Joseph
Bienvenu, Listen Loud, Listen Long a chapbook by the poet and artist Thaddeus Conti, and
Scavengers Waltz a short story by David Parker illustrated by artist Brian Poirier.
